About Us

Oyiza Orphanage and Foster Foundation is a non-governmental (NGO) nonprofit and charitable home. The home was established basically as a charity organization with the focus to developing and improving the lives and living condition of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) that are victims of socio-economic and environmental crisis in our society.

These crises range from abandonment and neglect broken homes, children of beggars and the poor (less privileged) families to orphans from deceased parent(s). Oyiza orphanage and foster foundation was established by late Mrs Oyiza Janet Idris (JP) in 2005 before her demise on 2nd of December, 2007 at 45years after a brief illness at the University College Hospital Ibadan, Oyo State.

The founder is survived by a son and a daughter who are both managing the organisation. The organization is registered with Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Welfare Department and also with the Corporate Affair Commission on the 2nd of October 2010.

VISION

To provide, love for and instill hope in orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) as well as less privileged in our society.

MISSION

-To inculcate in OVC, mental and moral etiquette values and virtues.
-To create a conducive environment for OVC far and wide, with impartiality and confidentiality
-To enhance the OVC the opportunity to achieve God’s purpose/destiny in their lives through formal education and empowerment.
-To help OVC become hopeful, self-reliant and a contributive members of their society.
-To meet a child core emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual needs.
